Once upon a time, many moons ago there was Steelhead in the cesspool we know today as the LA River. Yep....hard to believe isn't it. It was just a few years ago that I discovered this myself. Over the years, as development and industrialization took over California we destroyed a great fishery and didn't even know it. A few scientists set out to find the endangered species in order to put forth a new effort to restore this river to it's former glory. Quite depressing if you ask me.I think there is hope. In the last decade, people in general are starting to become more environmentally aware. Maybe someday the LA River will be like this >>> Steelhead Dreams
